2. Information We Collect
Information you give us. When you submit the contact form, book a session, or email us directly, we collect the information you provide. This typically includes your name, email address, phone number, business name, and the details of the photography work you are inquiring about.
Information collected automatically. When you visit thatphotoguy.com, basic technical information is collected including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and visit duration. This is collected through standard web server logs and Google Analytics 4 with Consent Mode v2.
Photographs and footage. When you book a session, we capture photographs of you, your business, your property, or other subjects per your engagement. The deliverable is the edited final images.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to respond to your inquiries, deliver your photography sessions, send invoices and receipts, maintain our website, improve our services, comply with legal obligations, and (with your permission) feature your work in our portfolio.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate our business (payment processors, gallery hosting platforms, email delivery), and only as necessary for them to perform their role. We may also share information when required by law or to protect our rights.
5. Cookies and Tracking
This site uses Google Analytics 4 with Consent Mode v2 enabled. Tracking is opt in for users in regions where consent is required. You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may affect site functionality.
6. Photograph Usage and Model Releases
For commercial and brand photography, we may request a model release allowing us to feature the resulting work in our portfolio. You may decline this without affecting the delivery of your final images. For private portrait and family sessions, no portfolio use is made without your explicit consent.
7. Data Retention
We retain inquiry and project information for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. Final delivered galleries remain accessible for 90 days, after which they are archived. Raw files are typically deleted within 60 days of delivery.
8. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing admin@thatdeveloperguy.com. We will respond within 30 days. Residents of California, Virginia, and other states with applicable privacy laws have additional rights, which we honor.
9. Security
We use commercially reasonable security measures to protect your information including TLS encryption in transit, access controls on stored data, and regular security updates to our infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously.
10. Children
This site and our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Family photography sessions involving children are conducted with the consent and presence of the parent or guardian.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by updating this page and, where appropriate, by direct notice.
