01. Background
From rifles, to routers, to rangefinders.
I am Joseph W. Anady. ThatPhotoGuy is one quarter of a multi disciplinary studio I run out of Cassville, Missouri. The other three are ThatDeveloperGuy.com (websites), ThatAIGuy.org (applied AI), and ThatStupidComputer.com.
The photography piece is not new. It just got its own roof. After 130 plus production websites built since 2020, I kept hitting the same wall, which was that small business owners would hire me to build something beautiful and then fill it with stock photography that did not look anything like their actual business. So I started making the photographs too.
The discipline that runs through all of it is the same. Composition. Hierarchy. The willingness to throw a frame away when it does not work.
Before any of the studio work, I served in the US Army with 7th Special Forces Group attached to 5/4 Cavalry. I earned both silver and gold spurs during that service. After that came a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Engineering and a Master of Arts in Cybersecurity. The studio is registered in SAM.gov and certified as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business.

02. Approach
Photography that knows where it lives next.
Most photographers hand off a folder of files and disappear. I hand off a folder of files that already know where they are going to live. Headshots sized for the about page. Hero stills cropped for above the fold. Product stills lit for the e commerce grid. Photography as brand asset, not brand decoration.

A photographer who can see the page.
Every frame is composed knowing where it is going to crop. Square for Instagram. Vertical for the hero. Horizontal for the about grid. Same shoot, three frames, no surprises.

A web developer who can read a histogram.
If you ever bundle the photography with a website build, the same person who knows what your hero looks like in code is the one shooting it. Color profiles match. File sizes are tuned for Lighthouse. The handoff is a save and refresh.
03.
A veteran who actually shows up on time.
I have done thirty days in a hide site. A two hour real estate shoot is not going to be the thing that catches me unprepared. Logistics, paperwork, scheduling, all handled before we ever hit the location.
